Human Resource Management involves the development and direction of employees.  The human resources manager is responsible for the establishment and implementation of polices regarding employees.  The manager may report to executives within a corporation.  Employment recruitment and training are within a human resources manager’s mandate, as are wage rates, benefits and vacation time.  The human resources manager may write training manuals to be utilized in creating uniformity of policies for existing personnel and new employees.  Scheduling and recommendations on the number of employees may be the responsibility of the manager.   Hiring and firing employees are often relegated to the manager.
